Living with Hair Loss – You are not Alone

Alopecia is the loss or the absence of hair. Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease, which can also involve hair all over the body. In simple terms, the immune system, for unknown reasons, attacks the hair root and causes hair loss. Types of Alopecia :

• Localized Alopecia areata, which is the most common type. This form of alopecia usually presents with round, smooth patches of various sizes of hair loss. The duration of alopecia areata is variable. It may resolve spontaneously within weeks or be recurrent over a lifetime. It may go away on its own, or may last for many years. It can involve any hair-bearing site, including eyebrows, eyelashes and beards. • Alopecia totalis: Loss of all hair on the scalp. Alopecia universalis: Loss of all scalp and body hair.

There are few symptoms associated with alopecia areata. The surface of the nails may appear dull and rough, nails may have tiny dents, ridges or small dents referred to as nail pitting. This does not typically cause any discomfort. Alopecia areata affects approximately 1- 2 percent of the population. This common skin disease is highly unpredictable and cyclical.

Living with alopecia areata can be difficult, especially in a culture that views hair as a sign of youth and good health. However, it is important to remember that more than 4 million people nationwide are living with Alopecia Areata at some point in their lives, so you are not alone. A few things can be done to minimize the physical dangers or discomforts of hair loss, including the use of: caps, wigs, sunscreen, and/or antibiotic ointment as necessary. Alopecia Areata:

• Is not contagious -- children who have the disease are generally healthy, otherwise • Is not a painful disease • Does not make people feel sick, physically • Does not reduce life expectancy • Should not interfere with the ability to achieve such life goals as going to school, working, marrying, raising a family, playing sports, and exercising. On the other hand, the emotional aspects of living with hair loss can be challenging. Many people cope by speaking with others who are facing the same problem, learning as much as they can about alopecia areata, seeking counseling to help build a positive self-image, all in all – feeling that you are not alone. Living with hair loss can be hard, especially in a culture that views hair as a sign of youth and good health. The key to coping is valuing yourself for who you are, not for how much hair you have or don't have.

Marbo Shampoo against hair loss contains herbal ingredients from different medicinal herbs. Active ingredients full of vitamins and mineral salts stimulate local circulation and hair root renewal. Sage and rosemary extracts regulate sebum secretion, prevent scalp greasing and soothe scalp itching and irritation. The First Symptoms of Alopecia Areata

Alopecia Areata is a condition when hair is falling from some parts of the head, making patches, or from other parts of the body like eyebrows, eyelashes, nose hair and generally all over the body where hair grows. It is considered to be a skin disease, because it affects skin of the scalp and is usually diagnosed by dermatologist. There are no medical explanations of how these patches develop and why are selected in the way they are. There is no test that can show if the patches will stay contained in that area or spread to another one. According to studies, over 40% of men between the ages of 18 and 50 have a medium to severe type of baldness. Its occurrence and intensity increase with age. Hair is important for a person especially in terms of social communication. Hair loss is often perceived by the victim as loss of one’s identity, a decrease in one’s attractiveness and an increase of one's vulnerability. The first symptoms of alopecia appear with small children or possibly adolescents, but the illness may break out at any age. Hair loss may affect various parts of the scalp and it may happen that, at the same time when hair falls out at one place, it might start to grow from another. Any hair surface may be affected including eyebrows, eyelashes and the moustache. Sometimes the illness is accompanied by itching, pricking, pain or burning in the afflicted area. Some people with alopecia also have abnormalities on the surface of their nails. People who have alopecia and their family members often experience a variety of feelings and frustrations. It can change the way you see yourself, resulting with social withdrawal, which can create serious consequences. Sadness, depression, embarrassment, hopelessness are just some of the feelings that a person with Alopecia can feel. Luckily, there are supports groups that may help you overcome the difficulties and find new ways to deal with it and even help others with the same problem. In more than ninety percent of all cases of Alopecia areata, if the affected region is small, symptoms disappear on their own without medical intervention. For some reason, certain environmental triggers such as stress cause the occurrence of AA in patients. Remove the stress and the hair may grow back. About half of all people affected will grow their hair back within a year without getting any treatment. However, the condition can reoccur at any time. Reoccurrence is common. Marbo alopecia shampoo is effective, because it contains herbal ingredients from different medicinal herbs. Active ingredients full of vitamins and mineral salts stimulate local circulation and hair root renewal. Sage and rosemary extracts regulate sebum secretion, prevent scalp greasing and soothe scalp itching and irritation. Using both the lotion and shampoo guarantees clearing all types of dandruff, chronic seborrhoeic dermatitis, scalp redness and itching. Thin and scarce hair becomes stronger, and in many cases, especially in women, thicker. At the same time, Marbo Shampoo 03 is a product for totally natural, mild and hygienic hair wash, which is still used by many of our customers. It is also recommended as preventive measure in treating colored and natural hair.

Hair Loss and How to Treat It with Natural Products

Hair disorder is a broad category that can include conditions, such as: - Alopecia, which is the loss or thinning of hair and it can be scarring, in which hair follicles are destroyed, and non-scarring, which can be reversed. - Male pattern baldness (androgenic alopecia): This is the most prominent type of hair disorder affecting, to varying degrees, half of all men over 50 years of age. - Hirsutism: excessive male pattern hair growth affecting 8% of adult women. - Hair shaft disorders: usually hereditary abnormalities. Alopecia areata has multiple causes and is usually a major concern for patients. Androgenetic alopecia, the most common form of alopecia, is related to a variety of genetic and hormonal factors, and it involves a progressive hair thinning that occurs in both men and women. In most cases, hair falls out in small, round patches about the size of a quarter. The disease does not extend beyond a few bare patches in most cases. In some people, hair loss is more extensive. Although uncommon, the disease can progress to cause total loss of hair on the head or complete loss of hair on the head, face, and body. Alopecia areata is just one type of alopecia, others are: - Traction alopecia – a condition that occurs when ponytails or tight braids put so much stress on the hair that it falls out. If this happens repeatedly it can cause scarring and root damage that will prevent hair from growing back. - Cicatricial alopecia – a group of related disorders in which inflammation destroys the hair follicles and replaces them with scar tissue. Also referred to as scarring alopecia, this cause of permanent hair loss is often seen in skin conditions such as discoid lupus erythematosus and lichen planus. - Androgenic alopecia – also called male-pattern or female-pattern baldness, a condition in which the growth phase of the normal hair cycle shortens, making hair more fragile. Over time hairs fall out easily leaving a characteristic pattern of thinning or baldness. - Trichotillomania – a mental condition in which people have an uncontrollable urge to pull out their hair. This can lead to patchy bald spots on the head. - Telogen effluvium – hair loss related to a change in the normal hair cycle. This may be caused by an emotional shock – such as the death of a loved one – or physical shock, such as high fever, illness or surgery. Hair disorders are accompanied by the following signs and symptoms, depending on the type. Non-scarring alopecia involves hair loss all over or in circular areas: a receding hair line, broken hairs, a smooth scalp, inflammation, and possibly loss of lashes and eyebrows. Scarring alopecia is limited to particular areas. Symptoms are inflammation at the edge and follicle loss toward the center of lesions, violet colored skin abnormalities, and scaling. Herbs are generally a safe way to strengthen and tone the body's systems. Marbo Hair collection is 100 % natural.

Dugi periodi upotrebe aktivatora nisu rezultirali neželjenim efektima. Moze se koristiti i bez recepta.
